During my internship, I had the opportunity to take online courses, and learn from the 3 founders at Vanspec in a 1-on-1 capacity. In the first 6 weeks, I was mentored on things like social media management, SEO, UTM tracking, website development and management, client account management, sales and more. In the latter half of the semester, I was able to take on managing client accounts, creating digital ads, and social media posts, as well as tracking analytics.

The way this internship was tailored to me and my interests helped fuel my quest for the foundational knowledge I was seeking in digital marketing.

Social Media Strategy
12 Week Project
Over the course of the semester, I was tasked with creating a social media strategy for Vanspec's own social channels. Deliverables included a project brief, industry and competitor analysis and a slide deck with a breakdown of my findings. My approach to creating and developing a new social media strategy for Vanspec Marketing comes from a place as a long-time consumer of digital content as a young person. I reviewed
many social media marketing blogs, podcasts, videos, and other helpful resources to get a better
understanding of the trends and uses of social media for B2B businesses.

Pitch Deck
7 Week Project
I was paired with a graphic design intern and tasked with developing and creating a pitch deck for Vanspec to utilize in future sales meetings with prospective clients. The slide deck needed to showcase the company, their service offerings, educate future buyers, and promote current and past clients.
We researched example pitch decks, developed an outline, layout, and high-level talking points, and ended up with a unique pitch deck for the company.
